Road to SasuSaku

    Could it be? Could it actually be that he was there? He, Uchiha Sasuke, back in the village of Konoha? No! It must have been impossible! The way he held out that beautiful rose to her, "I will always be your ally." He said.

    It should have been the other way around. He was the one who should have been surprised by Sakura's devotion to him. She should've been the one giving him gifts. But...why was it the other way around? "Sasuke-kun..." Sakura started, Wh-what are you doing here?"

    "Is there something wrong with me being in my own village?" Sasuke asked.

    "N-no, it's just...you're different." Sakura replied.

    "How am I different? What, am I supposed to be emo or something? It's not like I lost anything important to me. I have everything I want right here!" Sasuke said with a smile.

    Sasuke smiling!? The mysterious Uchiha Sasuke smiling, giving Sakura roses, showing affection for her, AND wearing modest attire? Last time she saw him, he was wearing a zip down shirt, showing most of his chest. Now, he was wearing a ring on each hand's finger along with a bracelet on his left hand. He also had long green trousers with the ends tucked into his ninja sandals. For his shirt, he wore a black tank top with a purple short sleeved sweater over it, having a tall collar.

    Here he was fully dressed and here Sakura was only in a bathrobe. She must've been in an alternate universe if Sasuke never lost his family or anything that mattered to him. "Um, Sasuke-kun, I need to change." Sakura said.

    "Oh! I'll help you." Sasuke offered as he walked into her room through the balcony.

    "Um...Sasuke-kun, I can kinda get dressed myself. Besides, it's kinda awkward when I have a boy in the room with me while I'm changing." Sakura replied.

    "Awww is little Sakura-chan shy? Please, it's not like it's anything I haven't seen before."

    Sakura nearly choked on her saliva, "Wh-WHAT? Waddo you mean it's isn't anything you haven't seen before!?"

    "Oh, Naruto didn't tell you? Well he shouldn't be ashamed of all the wonderful magazines he's shown me. Besides," Sasuke eyed her as he leaned into her ear, "They tend to be more developed than you."

    "You-YOU PERVERT!" Sakura exclaimed with a harsh slap to Sasuke's cheek, "I'm not under developed! I-I'm just small, that's all!"

    "Oh, so you're willing to admit it huh? Then perhaps you don't want your necklace back then." Sasuke held up a beautiful necklace and smirked.

    It had a silver chain all leading down to a Sakura pendant with the bottom left petal being the color of a dark majestic purple. It had been given to her by her father when she was a little girl. Her father happened to have the same one. "Wh-where'd you find that...?"

    "What's with the change in attitude, sweetheart? I found it laying one that bench in front of the gate leading out of the village." Sasuke replied with a cocky smirk.

    Sakura reached out the grab it when Sasuke gently placed it in her hand before she could reach it, "Sakura, be sure to cherish this," Sasuke stated calmly, "This could've been stolen and lost forever." Sasuke placed his hand over Sakura's opened one that held her necklace and guided her fingers to close in a hold it tightly.

    For a split second, Sakura remembered her father doing the exact same thing: holding his hand over hers and telling her to cherish his gift. Before she could comprehend what was going on, Sasuke leaned in for a quick peck on the cheek.

    "I'll be back..."
